This information concerns students who use their personal Gmail, or a Birkbeck Gmail (@mail.bbk.ac.uk) account as their contact email address.
Students sometimes contact ITS to enquire why email from Moodle does not seem to appear in their mailbox. There are a few potential issues:
1) Gmail sometimes decides to block mail, especially when someone marks a message as spam;
2) Gmail may send messages to Junk folder rather than blocking;
3) If you have the tabbed inbox view enabled, Gmail will send emails from Moodle to the Promotions tab.
